The Inner Temple Drama Society

The Inner Temple Drama Society (ITDS) hosts a variety of events from improvisation sessions to annual productions including Shakespeare, Pantomimes, readings and more. Members of ITDS stem from GDL students to Barristers and Benchers and have involvement in all areas of productions, from writing to back-stage crew to the on-stage cast. The society also holds social events and provides a fantastic and welcoming support network within the Inn.

What We Do

We typically put on two performances a year; a summer Shakespeare in competition with Middle Temple, and a Christmas Pantomime, written by members of the society. We try to embrace the skill-sets of our members, and facilitate accordingly. This year, we ran weekly dance classes, improvisation sessions, and took writing submissions for the first Inner Temple Edinburgh Fringe production (the performance of which has now been postponed until 2021).
