Click hereThe Becoming a Barrister Day aims to challenge stereotypes about the profession and provide information about the journey to the Bar.
The day will introduce students to the law in an interesting and interactive way and inform them of the opportunities at the Bar of England and Wales. The interactive workshops and activities are led by Barristers and Judges from a range of backgrounds.
I did not think I will be capable of standing up and speaking in court or have the opportunity/ability to reach such a level, however, after getting insight into the personal journeys of the barristers I feel motivated and optimistic of a career down this route
Student participant, November 2017My understanding was quite vague and mainly relied on media portrayal. However, I now see the career as quite complex and multi dimensional
Student participant, November 2017I thought they would have been intimidating and unapproachable but they were nice, kind and easy to talk to
