The Inn's COVID-19 Arrangements

The Inner Temple is fully operational and staff can be contacted by email or phone during office hours. The Treasury Office at 1 Mitre Court is open daily to visitors between 10am-4pm and our Porters remain on the first floor of 1 Mitre Court or contactable 24/7 on 020 7797 8255. Estates staff work on site on a rota basis and most office based staff are doing a combination of onsite working and working from home.

We continue to review all our activities in accordance with government guidelines. Our educational, professional and governance activities will be delivered either online or at external events until Spring 2022.

We recognise this is an anxious time, particularly for those with training requirements and the Inn will provide high quality equivalent learning online.

Please note that Call to the Bar ceremonies will be in-person. More information about being called to the Bar can be found here.

We will communicate changes via this webpage, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Linkedin. We will also email students regularly. We have specific online support group for this year Bar Course Students, please email qs@innertemple.org.uk to find out more about this support.

The Library is open normal term time hours for access to legal materials and resources in-person. Enquiries by phone or email and our document supply service are also available.

The Estate and Garden remain closed to the public until further notice . Please follow our Garden's Instagram account @innertemplegarden for regular updates from the Garden. Fob holders may access the Garden as usual.

Whilst the pandemic crisis remains unpredictable, access control procedures will be reviewed to ensure the safety of residents, tenants, staff and contractors within both Inns.

Parking permits for members may be purchased online at innertemple.d.fanaticdev.co.uk/parking. Please email members@innertemple.org.uk to set up an account or telephone the Treasury Office on 020 7797 8250 to purchase a permit.

As of Friday 3o July 2021 the offer of two free permits to each set has come to an end.

We are working to ensure that admissions to the Inner Temple continue to be processed as efficiently as possible, subject to the restrictions being imposed due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

We continue to check applications received by post but with most of the Inn’s staff now working remotely, we request that you kindly send your application by email to admissions@innertemple.org.uk.

Certified copies of certificates and photographs may also be emailed while restrictions are in place, although you will be asked to provide original certified copies when it is possible to do so.

Once your application has been accepted, you will receive an email with the Inn’s bank details asking you to make a payment by bank transfer.

Once the payment has been received, we’ll send you a confirmation of your admission by email.
