AWB is pleased to announce the re-launch of its Student Mentor Scheme for the 2019/20 academic year.
We encourage members who are BPTC students, those seeking pupillage or already in pupillage to apply for mentoring under the scheme. The scheme facilitates two formal conversations about specific issues between the mentee and the mentor.
In order to get this scheme off the ground, we encourage practising barristers to join and sign up to be a mentor. We also believe that male barristers joining AWB’s scheme as mentors could add to strengthening diversity at the Bar in the spirit of #HeforSheAtTheBar.
In order to join us, please visit womenbarristers.com, click on ‘Join Us’ and follow the instructions.
Please note that we now only accept membership subscriptions by direct debit which you can set up by clicking on the link on our website.
Please state on your membership application whether you would like to be a mentor or whether you would like to apply to be mentored under the scheme.
